It began in the winter of 2002 and has grown to include 3-4 day events in various locations around Spain: Los Angeles de San Rafael (Segovia), Pantano de Cubillas (Granda), and the Olympic Canal of Castelldefels (Barcelona). One of the days, variations of water sports are offered such as, wake-board, swimming, jet-ski, and other activities. The classes begin with “dry” individual instruction, before ever getting wet. Specially qualified instructors from the Federacion Español de Esqui Nautico are responsible for these classes. Is addition, a group of volunteers assist the participants.

The cost for each participant is minimal (approx. 40€) thanks to the subsidy from the D&D Foundation. The specially adapted equipment is available for virtually all types of handicap. It is obligatory that the participants is registered with the Federacion Española de Deportes para Minusvalidos Fisicos. The goal of the D&D Foundation is to continue offering this program and increasing the locations.
